Project

Overview

Problem

Peparprov requires dedicated branding, distinct data isolation, and tailored user presentation to give paralympic athletes their earned spotlight. Combining Peparprov data into a general sports platform risks user confusion, data overlap, and diminished representation for paralympic categories.

Goals

To provide IT consultancy and build a standalone, high-performance web portal dedicated entirely to Peparprov. The key objective was to deliver an isolated database and custom backend that automated medal tallies and contingent standings for paralympic sports categories in real time.

Research & Strategy

User & Audience Target

Paralympic athletes, adaptive sports officials, supporters, journalists, disability advocates, and local government stakeholders.

Research & Discovery

Research focused on establishing an independent relational database structure for paralympic classifications and sports categories. By isolating Peparprov into its own server and WordPress instance, data cross-contamination with other provincial events was prevented, ensuring optimized database query speeds and tailored content presentation.

Project Scope

Full IT consultancy and end-to-end full-stack development for Peparprov Portal. Scope encompassed accessible UI/UX design, custom database architecture for paralympic events, automated medal tally engine, and responsive frontend implementation.

Solution & Implementation

Core Solution / App

An independent, highly tailored web portal built using a custom-engineered WordPress backend. The application provided a dedicated platform for Peparprov, featuring accessible data design and real-time result publishing tailored to paralympic athletic divisions.

Key Features

  • Dedicated Paralympic Medal Engine: Automated calculation algorithm compiling daily match scores into accurate contingent standings without manual intervention.

  • Adaptive Sports Filtering: Filterable schedule and results interface structured around specific paralympic sports categories.

  • Contingent & Athlete Spotlight: Dedicated profile pages for participating regencies and cities, highlighting paralympic sports achievements.

  • Isolated Architecture: Independent database and application layer ensuring total operational stability and zero data overlap with other sporting events.

  • Operator-Friendly Input System: Customized backend forms engineered for rapid, error-free result publishing by event staff.

Role & Contributions

As Lead Consultant and Software Engineer, handled full-stack development, server deployment, database design, and custom PHP algorithm development for automated standings. Built a clean, accessible frontend interface using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Results & Impact

Results / Outcomes

Successfully provided a dedicated digital hub for Peparprov, ensuring the event received distinct media focus and recognition. The platform maintained 100% reliability during peak event hours, delivering real-time standings and error-free medal counts to public and media outlets.

Learnings & Future Steps

Solidified best practices for isolating concurrent event databases and customizing CMS frameworks for niche data structures. Future developments can incorporate detailed athlete classification tracking and direct data integrations for national Paralympic committees.
